Job Summary: You’ll be responsible for meeting and exceeding your quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory and account plans targeting deployments of the Iris Networks last mile partners and core transport network. This is a unique opportunity for a closer with a go-getter mentality to win business and market share.
This includes building and implementing account plans, marketing plans, finding new business, and building relationships with existing accounts. Must be a key contributor to the revenue growth of the Iris Networks revenue plan and manage sales to the company growth targets. The Wholesale Business Development Representative will build and promote the Company’s position as a leader of network infrastructure within the Iris footprint.
This role is within the Wholesale Sales organization and reports to the VP of Sales. Individual must be a team player, with the ability to work closely with others to achieve common goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Managing and growing business across wireless carriers and national service providers.
Market Research & Lead Generation: Conducting thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitors. Generating leads through various channels such as networking, cold calling, and digital marketing.
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners to foster business growth with new regional service providers.
Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build a professional network and identify potential business leads.
Proposal & Presentation: Developing proposals and presentations to pitch products or services to potential clients.
Negotiation: Negotiating terms and agreements to secure profitable deals for the organization.
Strategic Planning: Creating and implementing business development strategies to achieve sales targets and organizational goals.
Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to drive business success.
Monitoring Industry Trends: Keeping abreast of industry trends and changes to identify new business opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
2+ Years experience managing Wholesale Telecommunications customer relationships.
Proven track record of continuous sales growth.
Ability to travel to customers and potential customers.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying proposals and negotiating deals.
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze market trends, data, and customer feedback to make informed business decisions.
Sales Skills: A solid understanding of sales principles and techniques needed to effectively sell products or services.
Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Strategic Thinking: Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
Negotiation Skills: Skillful negotiation to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
